Superintendent J. Harrison Jones, Jr

Superintendent James Harrison Jones Jr. is the Senior Pastor of Faith to Favor Worship Center, Hueytown , Alabama and Burgess Temple Church of God in Christ, Oakman, Alabama. A proud native of Elba, Alabama, he has been a minister of the Gospel for more than 18 years. He commenced his first trial sermon at the age of 25 and his pastoral ministry in August 2013. God has highly favored Superintendent Jones by allowing growth and outreach to accompany his ministry. Since 2013, he has served as the Senior Pastor of Burgess Temple COGIC and was blessed to expand his ministry with the launch of Faith to Favor Worship Center in June 2016. In 2017, Jones was ordained as Superintendent of Life District, of the Alabama First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop O.L. Meadows.

Superintendent Jones, a well-educated man, studied Business Management at Kaplan University. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, he operates and owns two trucking lines, JH & NJ Trucking and SAV (Seeing a Vision). He employs several people in Birmingham and surrounding areas. Superintendent Jones is the founder of L.Y.F.E (Living Your Future Everyday) non-profit organization that seeks to offer financial literacy, job readiness training, homeless rehabilitation services, and after-school care programs for residents of Jefferson County, Alabama. 

A personable and humble man, Superintendent Jones has been honored to share his gift across the country. He has served as the keynote speaker on highly sought platforms and has had the opportunity to address key topics that impact the lives and livelihood of others. An effective communicator of God’s word, Superintendent Jones is widely known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which helps people apply the timeless truths of scripture to their everyday lives.

Superintendent Jones is married to Natasha Jones, his best friend of 15 years. They have four children: Kendall, Natasha, Joshua and James III (Tre’). They have been blessed with three beautiful grandchildren.

It is Superintendent Jones desire to continue studying, preaching, and teaching the word of God to the lost both locally and abroad. His love for God’s people can be seen throughout his life and his ministry. Relentless in his vision, Superintendent Jones stands strong in his commitment to share the joy of God’s love throughout the world.
